Weekend & Tent Rates

Friday – Sunday

COMPLIMENTARY:

  • 1-hour ceremony rehearsal (wedding or vow renewal) 
  • Inside tables & chairs with set-up
  • On-site Facility Assistant to manage the venue
  • Free on-site parking – 94 spaces
  • Covered outdoor veranda (not climate controlled)
  • Dressing lounge for the Guest of Honor
  • Kitchen

GENERAL:

  • Your rental includes tables & standard banquet chairs as well as the use of our kitchen which includes refrigerator, freezer, microwave, convection oven, warming cabinet and ice.
  • Our kitchen does not allow for stove top cooking.  Nor do we permit frying or grilling in or on property.
  • Rental Chairs – Gold Chiavari (indoor use only), White Lawn (indoor & outdoor use) or Outdoor Tables are $6.00 per chair and/or table.
  • Chairs rented: minimum 50 / maximum 100 and include set-up & take-down.
  • Permissible Howard County sound levels will be enforced when outdoor events are taking place.
  • Special rental conditions apply to parties for ages 1-21; please request addendum.
  • When a national holiday falls on a weekday, Sunday rental rates apply to all social events.
  • If event date occurs on a national holiday, a $30 per hour premium for staffing will apply.

TENT PACKAGE RENTALS:

  • Historic Oakland offers a tent package that includes the rental of the house and tent as well as basic equipment needed for your special occasion.
  • Tent can only be rented during the months of March through November.
  • If tent package is not purchased, use of back patio is not permitted.
  • Renting the tent accommodates a capacity of 172 persons in one space.
  • Includes cathedral side panels and interior ceiling lighting.
  • Equipment for up to 150 guests are included in the rental.  If headcount exceeds 150 guests, all equipment is required to be rented through the tent vendor.
  • Weekday, Monday-Thursday, tent package pricing may differ.  Speak with an Historic Oakland staff for more information and pricing.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR SOCIAL EVENTS:

  • Upon execution of the contract, 50% of the total rental rate is due to secure your date.
  • 6 weeks prior to the event date, the remaining 50% balance of rental price and any rentals items, such as rental chairs, is due along with a $1,000 Security Deposit.
  • Security Deposit is refundable barring no damage to the facility & that contract Terms & Conditions are adhered to.
