At Historic Oakland Manor, we are pleased to host your wedding, baby shower, corporate meeting, or any other type of celebration. Oakland’s beautiful park-like setting, grand entrance, and landscape features make it the perfect backdrop for celebrating with loved ones. What is the Venue’s Maximum Capacity?
Our maximum capacity is 180 guests for the house. However, that is seating guests throughout the entire house. Oakland’s largest room, the Main Ballroom, seats a max capacity of 80 guests.

The veranda can seat up to 32 guests but is not climate-controlled. You are welcome to rent heaters, air conditioners, or fans for temperature control if needed. Speak with Oakland staff for more information.
How is Pricing Determined?
Price is determined by the day and time you rent the venue and the specific area(s) you contract. Depending on your needs, the front lawn, the Bishop’s Garden, and the back lawn are included in the price. If you would like a tent for your wedding, it is an additional cost when renting the house. Be sure to check out our website for specific details on pricing. Oakland’s venue is “ala carte,” which allows our clients to provide everything else to complete their day.
Tables, chairs, and set up/take down are included in the rental as well. If you are bringing in rental equipment, Oakland staff is not responsible for setting up or taking down that equipment. You will also have an Oakland Facility Assistant onsite to manage the venue on the day of your event.
Can I Bring My Own Alcohol?
Oakland does allow clients to provide their own alcohol. All alcohol served on the property is required to be poured by a Licensed and Insured, TIPS-certified bartender. Clients can hire their own bartender or choose one from the provided list on our website. No free pouring nor placing of alcohol directly on guest tables is permitted. As well, no shots or shot stations are permitted during an event at Oakland.
Can I Add a Tent to My Wedding?
In addition to the rooms of Oakland Manor, we also offer a tent package for an additional cost. The tent is offered through a third-party vendor, Elite Tents & Events, but will be included and paid for through your Rental Agreement with Oakland. Any miscellaneous rental items to complete your tent rental experience at Oakland will be quoted and billed to our clients by Elite Tents and Events. Oakland’s Tent Package includes side wall panels, perimeter and overhead lighting, tables, and chairs. The client is responsible for decor, food, beverage, and linens.
